From Couch to 5K. From Runner to Race Creator

I didn’t start as a runner. I downloaded a Couch to 5K app just to see if I could finish.

Crossing that first finish line changed everything.

What began as a personal challenge turned into a lifelong passion—one that took me from my first 5K races to 10K races, Half Marathons, ultramarathons, and 100-mile races. Along the way, running became more than miles and medals. It became community, healing, and purpose.

That journey led me to become an RRCA Certified Run Coach, serve seven years as President of A Running Experience Club, and spend nearly a decade producing running events across Southern California, including Long Beach, Santa Monica, and coastal communities.

But I noticed a gap in the running world.

Large races were becoming expensive and impersonal. Smaller races were affordable—but often lacked energy, organization, and care.

I knew there had to be a better way.

CaliFlow Runs was created.

CaliFlow Runs produces affordable, beginner-friendly 5K races, 10K races, and Half Marathons designed for runners of all levels. Our events feature professional chip timing, real results, free race photos, themed medals, festival-style finish lines, and a welcoming community that celebrates every athlete.

We believe running should feel inclusive, joyful, and accessible—not intimidating or overpriced.
